Unfortunately no. I bought the truck as is for the most part. The only things I can take credit for are the grille, tinted windows, tail lights, and very shortly Mopar performance posi unit with 3.92 gears out of a 99 Reg Cab R/T.
I have a few more exterior mods to do and those are, powder coat and install the street scene bumper cover grille inserts, install a Dodge grille emblem when it arrives, finish the black stripes in front with gloss black vinyl decal, and I am tinkering with the thought of swapping the bumper off my 03 for the roll pan off my 2000. Not entirely sure if that will happen. I need to see if I can put the tow hitch onto my 2000 before I do anything. I don't really ever tow anything so I might just dump it all together.
There's 1 thing that I do plan on doing in the interior is getting a floor mounted console and paint it similar to the current partial floor console.
I was going through some older posts that I commented in and this one caught my attention. Everything I said above dealing with upgrades I actually did. In fact I completed that list by summer of 2012.
It's rare that I put out a list of mods that I'd like to do then actually complete that list! I also did the black stripes but not in vinyl, it's actual paint on the grill and roll pan. I got a floor mounted console for $65 with a broken lid latch, I ordered a new part for the lid for $15 shipped off ebay. Cleaned it up and thought well hey since I'm waiting I'll mask it off and paint something on it and the results came out awesome!
I figured hey not many people show their truck then follow up with an update post a year or so later. I also did a different set of tail lights and recently added chrome center caps off the newer dakota/durango wheels.
This photo show's the truck after all the mods I talked about minus the chrome center caps.
A shot of the rear.
And the most recent change.
And a shot of the finished interior.
I'd like to get a set of 20" or 22" wheels and lower the truck about 2" front and rear. Also would like to finish the black stripes on the front bumper cover. I was hoping to get to that this spring/summer but currently trying to buy a house so any big projects are put on the back burner until I get settled into the new place.
