I have had countless threads all stating the same thing so here is my build thread finally! I have most of the automatic sensors and cables unhooked and steering colum converted, auto driveshaft is out and I'm almost ready to put the manual pedal assembly in. Gray truck is the donor and that is now sold. Enjoy! I'll post plenty more pics as the build progress's.

Probably cracked, I remember someone talking about nv3500s cracking.
You can get them from advance or autozone for about 140.00
If they charged alot more than a rebuild including removal and replacing id look elsewhere. Thats with me hanging pedals beforehand and having hole cut in floor with all the other stuff ready to go.

My 2 cents as this is what i have heard regarding my TKO.
Keep all the sensors/solenoids hooked up.....? Kinda like how I kept my stock injectors plugged in even though they aren't doing anything...
Like the oxygen sensor trick just tie the valve body plugged in and hang from the frame rail. Seriously though, I am going to start playing with mine soon to possibly not have any lights either.
Looks like I'm going with B&G, talked to thier guy over the phone and he said I can send him the current 01' 5.9 Automatic computer or 02' V6 Manual computer, as long as the V6 has the extra pins for the V8, then he can make that work as well so it doesn't matter what the computer is, he can work with it. He said it's tricky to reflash these computers because they never made a manual 5.9 in 2001 but he said he can make sure the CEL doesn't come on and he CAN make it work for my set-up.

So, I will be shipping out the current computer and cross my fingers and hope for the best. I hope to send it off middle of this week.
Awesome news.
Cool. I have no cats and we dont have emissions here so im good in that area. Wonder why that happened though.
It will be like a stock pcm that you can tune over.
Great progress.
Looks like you have the same huge boot as me. I am cutting mine down to size though.

I was planning on using a 4x4 manual 5 speed dust cover as they are alot smaller this is all I could find so I bought it from a guy. Noone will ever see it.

For future swappers who dont want a huge hole....LMAO

Get over on dakotart.com.

There are a couple 01 and up manual swaps.
You should be fine as there were v8 manuals in your year. Just grab a manual pcm.
Thanks!
I have a flywheel/bellhousing on the way for fitment testing. Everything depends on that. If that works out will start a separate build thread. Good luck with computer! Hope it gets worked out soon!!

Thanks!
I was talking to 91eflx.

But being an 01 you should be fine too since your also came in manuals, although I can not say for sure.
If it is bad it also usually says no bus continuously and will not run.
Sucks he wont do anything else. It obviously isnt right. If thats the case i might just live with a light i dont want to spend that mucg cash and it not be right and them not try.

Im looking forward to your findings.

3.9 manuals were made in 01 maybe do a 3.9 swap and use the 3.9 manual computer to get rid of the lights.

Lmao
Some believe 2001 rams will work. But they are still dual wire ccd bus trucks. 2001 ups were single wire.
