i have an intrepid, and on the intrepids, there is an input/output sensor that will cause the transmission to only run in 2nd gear and no speedo, i have a 2002 durango slt+ and its doing the same thing, do the durangos have the speed sensors?

I am not sure, but all my vehicles has speed sensors ... the "D" must have one also ...

Yes they do, I believe ours have at least 2. I have seen this prob on other posts - Try the rear speed sensor!

yes you do. It's on your trans. It runs around $30 from auto zone. Output speed sensor. Takes all of 10 sec to change out. You'll get a little fluid, but nothing to worry about.

I believe that there's a second one near the rear axle, but it is more for anti-lock brake sensing.
