Who's got 'em? How do you like 'em? Where did you get 'em? How much did you pay for 'em? Can i see some pictures of 'em? :)

i've had my two-tone SLT CC for less than a month, and i'm paranoid of messing up the (ick, plastic) bumpers, coming out of a 20-year-old 3/4-ton Chevy that i push cars around with. Most of what i'm finding on the web consists of stock pictures of some generic push bar floating in space, and either a "call for price", or "click here for a list of dealers a hundred or so miles away from you" link. What have you guys got out there in the real world, and how does it look?

Cheers,

...dave

I have the Dodge Tubular brush guard painted to match. My quad is black. I like it a lot. I follows the body lines of the truck. My came on the truck when I bought it but you can pick one up at the dealership or order one . They cost $459 now.

I now have Rick75 safari bar. I am going to paint it to match my truck as well. I am going with PIAA 540 lights for the bar. Personally I believe that the safari bar will lool better than the full Brush Guard. But that is my view.

The brush guard is just a little busy for me. Takes away from some of the nice lines on the gen 1 durango. That is all. No hard feelings man.

LOL no hard feelings taken, was just kiddin with ya'll. guess it works for me due to the color of the car and the chrome grille shell. the mopar ones are definately better than those aftermarket ones with the bars goin across the headlamp though

Thanks! DeMAK5 or DAKSPORT1PA, is that the Mopar guard in that picture? It looks like it may be more decorative than functional (easily damaged), but it does fit the body nicely. i was looking at some custom units that replace the front bumper as well, but those looked to be $1000+ :explode:

i had a heavy (5/8" chromed steel) push bar on my last truck, and it saved the front end of the truck in a 25MPH accident, so i'd like to get something sturdy for this one as well...

Cheers,

Yeah. The Mopar brush guard is the one in the pic. Its actually pretty sturdy. I'm not sure what gauge steel, but its decently thick. It mounts right to the frame and its solid. I've got a set of Hella off road lights mounted to mine also.

Dude, that Wincher product looks nutsy. I live about 4 hrs from there, and would have loved to see one on a Durango before I got my WARN. Warn makes a great product that will protect your truck called the Trans-4-mer grill guard. You can add a winch or 2" receiver hitch to it, or just keep light tabs. It attaches to the frame and can (I believe) accept up to a 12,000 pound winch. www.warn.com

I had a Westin Safari bar on the front of my '03 D. Picked it up new on e-bay for about $140 shipped. Here are some pics. I also had Hella FF200 driving lights on it.
Hey man, your rig looks awesome, just about what I'd like to do with mine. What brand are the safari bar and running boards (that's what they're called, right? This is my first truck, still learning the terms).

Also the chrome grill. Mine is slightly cracked and I love the look of the chrome, where'd that come from and which brand/cost?

Thanks. For the most part it's stock. The safari bar is from Westin. The running boards were factory along with the grille. If you're just getting started I highly recommend checking out ebay. The safari bar you can get for probably $140 (GOON now has the one in the picture). A replacement chrome grill you can probably get about $70. Running boards, tough call. It really depends what you want your truck to look like. My new D I got away from the running boards and put some aftermarket chrome nerf bars which I think really set it off.
