Most of you know me from my old truck..A custom built R/T..Good from afar but far from good..Truck was dismantled, and thrown to a wrecking yard..

So heres the new rig..1995 GenII Dakota 2wd..

Just want to clarify yes my truck is ugly..With us its function over fashion first..Not just going for the look!

So lets get started..First off he hacked off the front end, cut the frame and replated it..And on went a set of ibeams off of a 1979 F150 5lug..Beams were extended 4" per side..After being in the scene you get over wanting the gnar factor of hugely extended parts haha..

Next went the rear end..Bye bye Dodge rear end!! On went a 8.8 w/4:11s off of a 1980s Bronco..

Picked up the front fiberglass for it, soon to be mounted..Took the bed off and pulled the bedside 4.5"s per side..Had to cut them as well..I have a retarded gap in between the cab and bed now but who cares, at least it covers the tires..

Next went on 35" BFGs on 15" Centerlines..Picked up some 12" Fox coilovers for the front end..Threw on some old longer Bilsteins I had laying around for the rearend..

Need to get a custom driveshaft made, coilovers mounted and then the re-teardown to finish welding and painting all parts..

The plan after that: Drive it like I stole it for a few months, pick up a single or ext cab R/T and finish the work on my GenII..

Future plans include cutting the roof and installing a full bumper to interior cage, basic bedcage w.under the bed 4link so I have the bed useage..Then bondo work on passenger side and paint..

The DD R/T will get a good amount of work as well after the GenII is finished..

Heres a pic or two:

when the beams went on >

the re-tear down to work on other shiz >

current status >

and for some fun heres my play toy for now:

enjoy..

you are sadly misinformed..my truck does not consist of metal mulisha or srh stickers..nor do I drive around with a flat billed hat..nor am I a damn boy, or anything with a dick period :D..

considering my truck doesnt have a spindle lift with 6" wide fiberglass I think most people can see past the unpainted fenders..and to note smartass they are painted...black...

until after the body work is done and I figure out what color the truck will be..
any suggestions on paint?

I have a few ideas:

1. Hot pink on black rims..
2. Mopar orange with black trim on black rims..
3. Satin black on black rims..
4. ???

Hot pink on black rims, maybe there would be no more confusion that way!

Seriously though, I vote for the orange with black trim...

why not go white with pink trim. if you have beadlocks paint them pink.

No confusion abbout what gender the driver is and it dosnt turn into an easy bake oven when you go out to play or leave it in the parking lot.

WOW!!!! i love women w/ an attitude....... u kinda turned me on a lil bit...LOL

i second the oppinion of painting the truck white. possibly silver. they both hide scratches pretty well and either way it would look good w/ black accents/rims.

a general lee type theme would also go well with the lift/look. whatever color you paint it, i would suggest getting some clear turn/corner lenses later down the road. they really clean up the chrome front end.
i like the way option 2 on paint sounds and grab some clear corners and signals. just my opinion.
Hmm, white isnt a bad idea and easy to keep clean..Dang I really like that idea! So how its between the white and orange..

If anyone has some photoshop skills and wants to throw some ideas out thatd be great..My PS is down currently or Id do it :(..

And ya I do plan on getting clear corners, new headlights and chrome bumper (mine is twisted a bit)..Im also in the process of buying another grille/headlight assembly and have a custom setup made..
cool, cant wait to see somebody do some custom front end stuff.
satin black body with pink accents and pink wheels with black beadlocks i think thatd be bitchin
I was thinking that too..except no pink wheels..and I dont have beadlocks nor want them..
So Im thinking of just painting the rims black and putting a thin pink line near the lip..suttle yet noticeable..

I think that'll be the way I go for the temp paint job..The real good paint job will come later after shock hoops are made and any other fab work is done, still debating on that color lol..
i like your idea better that looks sick and thats what ima do to my ram when i get my black srt-10 wheels, just i white pinstrip around the wheel to break up the black on black look
a girl back home had a ram 1500 4x4 lifted waaaayyy up. she wrecked into me bc she "didnt see me" lol i had to get a new bed the dak and a new Left tail light...

anyways. the ram was black and had a pink pin stripe on the trim where the chrome was. (if that makes any sense... )
looked pretty good.
Updates:

The Dakota was involved in a 3 car accident, none of which was my fault..Resulting damage was a cracked light bezzle, pushed up front bumper and much damage to my drivers side bedside, taillights and bumper..

So I talked to a fiberglass company and will be getting a custom mold made for a one off Dakota bedside setup..Since no one makes them for these trucks, figured Id do it and will own the mold..So eh why not..
That sucks!
