Could get my hands on a used Powerdyne S/C, problem is it needs bearings in the headunit. Found rebuilt kits for a good price online. How hard is this?

Also, where can I get a FMU for it? That's all its missing from the S/C kit...

Checked that out earlier today actually. Thanks anyways though.

how much are you putting in it and what are your goals for your truck. That will determine whether or not to save some cash for a vortech or a paxton
Well I'm tossing around the idea of throwing one up here for the time being. Just something to wake this weak sixer up a bit. The kit needs a pulley as well, and all I'd really need is the stock 6# pulley.

Still having trouble deciding whether or not I want to invest in a S/C, or just teardown the '96 318 I have in the barn and use it.

theres also a place in florida bud that specializes in rebuilding powerdynes,,im sure some peeps from there know what im talking aboot, but i would say it'll cost a cple a hundred to get it rebuilt, and i know if i had one that needed it and planned on keeping it anytime than id make sure to have someone else do it that way you can have it warrantied in some fashion..
I'm considering it if I purchase the unit. Warranties sound nice haha.
p.s. powerdynes are fine if you just want a lil boost,,but if you wanna make some power throw something on it like danbap's got going on..
A little boost is all I'm looking for in this stock V6. If I do decide to go S/C'd.

lol...forgot your still running the 6,,if it was me,id go the v8 first, then if still not happy then look at adding sumpin's...but thats me personally..
True, I just hate the thought of the down time during swap which I really don't need right away. I might end up going with the swap, who knows. I'm really indecisive on big purchases. My real worry is the NC inspection legality of swapping that 318 in to my '01.
