Could get my hands on a used Powerdyne S/C, problem is it needs bearings in the headunit. Found rebuilt kits for a good price online. How hard is this?

Also, where can I get a FMU for it? That's all its missing from the S/C kit...

how much are you putting in it and what are your goals for your truck. That will determine whether or not to save some cash for a vortech or a paxton

there's a write up on here on rebuilding a novi-2000 IIRC....could give you an idea of what you're looking at. didnt look too difficult as long as you take your time, have the tools, and pay attention to detail. me personally would rather have a shop do it with some kind of warranty, that way if it fucks up again at least it will have a warranty for the work.

Checked that out earlier today actually. Thanks anyways though.

Well I'm tossing around the idea of throwing one up here for the time being. Just something to wake this weak sixer up a bit. The kit needs a pulley as well, and all I'd really need is the stock 6# pulley.

Still having trouble deciding whether or not I want to invest in a S/C, or just teardown the '96 318 I have in the barn and use it.

I'm considering it if I purchase the unit. Warranties sound nice haha.

A little boost is all I'm looking for in this stock V6. If I do decide to go S/C'd.

True, I just hate the thought of the down time during swap which I really don't need right away. I might end up going with the swap, who knows. I'm really indecisive on big purchases. My real worry is the NC inspection legality of swapping that 318 in to my '01.

I had my powerdyne rebuilt at superchargerrebuilds.com. I had the best of the best put in it like the ceramics and kevlar belt and it ran just under 600 with shiping iirc. Very quick turnaround and good service.

I run the 9lb pulley on mine and it's been a pretty descent investment. Not going to get huge boost out of it but the head gaskets & internals on my motor are stock with 130k so my truck couldn't handle anymore anyway. I bought it used as well.

I have an FMU set-up and 21lb injectors for sale. I removed them and now control the fuel via sct.

I haven't quite decided on what I'm gonna do yet. But I appreciate all the help so far.
