Nice rides sick , as well as you Alex , love what you've done to the truck .

Alex , it looks like you have coil springs on your front shocks , am I imagining that ? Have been looking for Spring over shock cushion for the front of my truck , it would take a little pressure off the Torsion keys and the truck may ride a little smoother , even it rides really well now .

Just finished the '01 DAK Project!

Project truck I bought for my son. It's an '01 DAK 2WD, extended cab. It had low miles, was well maintained and due to the clear coat issues prevalent with the Gen III Dakota's had been repainted several years ago.

There were many minor changes we made and included several salvage yard trips and the aftermarket modification purchases. Spent countless hours on the forums looking at the modifications made to some of the owners trucks as well as several "How To's". This forum saved us time and provided valuable information. The transformation has taken lots of time, but has been fun getting there. We love the results.

Here are the primary changes to the DAK:
- Debadged the doors
- Installed stock fender flares (body color matched)
- 2" Front Leveling Kit
- Rear Lift Shackles
- Pro Comp Front Shocks
- Performance Accessories 3" Body Lift
- Performance Accessories Gap Guards
- Ion 171 (16x8) Wheels
- BFG All Terrain KO2's (265/75/16)
- Catback Flowmaster 40 w/ Duals
- Driver/Passenger Door Window Tint
- V8 Magnum fender emblem (Not available on the '01 DAK, but should have been!)

Here is the Dingo towing the LT1 Camaro to the speed shop today to get its rebuilt and upgraded transmission put back into it. Tows real well as always. Had to get a dolly because none of the full size car trailers had winches and its pretty hard to get a car with no transmission onto one of those with out a winch!

My Dingo didnt come with a tow package, I installed a stock hitch on it so it could probably use a transmission cooler, maybe one day . . .

Wanted to share an R/T survivor story. This 2002 R/T was left out in the weeds in Nj by its pervious owner and my friend Bryan S. The truck had seen 1/4mile duty with a blown 360 with heads and cam running 11's until it let go several years ago after which Bryan parked it and left it for dead. He stole parts from her for his Daily an AB Quad cab. she lost her entire drivetrain and some body parts like the hood and front bumper.

My partner in the Dakota part out trade Jim and I went and snagged her for a trans and cash from Bryan and then it became a gathering parts and time project. That was in the spring of this year and last weekend she came to life again.

Here are some pics of before and after.

Battery tray nest .... the truck had tweets

We parked it next to its Donor truck in its new home.
Second truck is also a 2002 with alot of miles stripped motor and lot of body damage.

The truck on the right has a 4x4 quad cab rear in it.

Project truck has alot of issues inside and out...
