Does anyone have or know someone who has a snowplow on their Dakota? Any problems with the front end?

I lived near a guy that had a plow on his 00 CC 4x4. I never talked to him about it but it looked like it was sagging pretty good. Im not sure how well it pushed the snow but with how heavy these truck are..it shouldnt be a problem.

go over to www.dodgedakotas.com and ask for kowalski he has a 2000 CC dak and plaows snow with it. never heard him complain about it. so he prob one to ask about it.

Well I have a Dakota w/ a plow hooked up to it and so far nothing wrong w/ the front end. Its a 98 CC V8 4x4, just recently had it serviced, and it is not driven a whole lot. It is parked in a garage at my Cabin in the UP of Michigan.

What brand of plow did you go with, I've been looking at what companies make a mounting kit for the Gen 3s, and can't decide which of the available options will work best for the light plowing I'd do with one.

The plow on my Dak is a western, they say they are one of the biggest manufacturers for pick-up truck plows. The only thing wrong w/ it is the pump runs for extended amounts of time and drains the battery a bit, but we think we know the way to fix it.



When we plow the snow there is usually 5-6 inches on the ground sometimes more...

I like this site. Its very organized and they seem to know what they're doin. I haven't ordered from them but I do plan to pick up a powertrax no-slip from them in the near future. Hopefully this helps.

Wait until the truck is out of warranty. My 04' users manual that came with the truck advises not to use it for plowing.
