My 2003 Durango 4.7, 4x4, power door locks unlock and relock as vehicle is in gear or setting still.
Can it be reproduced on demand? If so...

Is this true for when the ignition is either on or off?

Curious if it’s BCM or wires getting shorted to one another.

I’d get into the door panels and unplug each switch cluster and see if it still does it. If so, reconnect and button her back up.

Unless you’re good at tracing wires, I had to take mine in to troubleshoot a driver door switch not working. Was a single wire (purple insulation) that was repaired and all was working.

Imagine if two wires had damaged insulation and bare metal was touching, it could cause the symptom you describe. Not an impossible scenario at all.
