My lift off is from a stock hood. It's a little heavier, but it'd be more sturdy for what you're wanting to do.

Louvered stock hood.......

I'm lucky to have a hotrod shop close that has a louver press.

Water gets all over the engine when it rains...no problems. Definitely lets the heat out. Very subtle, lots of double takes when gear heads see it.

Price is $1 per louver and there is about 70, I painted it myself so it needs to be redone, looks like crap up close.

Thanks does it ram air into the airbox??? or is it just free floating like a honda hood

That hole to the left side of the hood in the first pic is where the air goes to. You can also get it to come right out the back of the scoop to an airbox over the throttle body. The hole to left though dumps right over the stock airbox location but if you have an aftermarket intake it will sit farther back. If you look in the second pic there are 4 dots where the K&N intake sits so the spot were the air dumps is to far forward.:(

Did you cut that hole out or did it come like that?

No, it came like that. If I would have cut that hole it would have been in the right place. :D It also sucks because when I talked to him he said that I couldn't just cut a hole in the right place and cover that one up because there is duct-work in the hood that routes the air there and it wouldn't work if I cut a hole where it needs to be.
