Is an oil cooler for my ‘03 dak slt extended cab worth the time and expense? Seems like a good idea as it would save me $ on oil changes and engine life! They about 100$ on eBay. Any idea guys? Thanks

Unless you live near the Equator, it should not be needed. Use quality oil filters and oil,
and regular intervals, you should be just fine.
I did install a transmission cooler on my Dakota. I live in the mid west. I also tend to
haul loads heavier than usual. Added air bags for these loads.
