T-case doesn't care, service manual even says Dexron 3 or ATF +3.
Doesn't matter because all it does 99% of the time is lubricate the bearings as power is passing through to the rear wheels. Only that 1% of the time is it lubricating more than that, you've got a chain for the front wheels and gears for low. No clutches constantly grabbing new gears and such like the transmission does. As a matter of fact, the clutches are the only reason you have to worry about ATF type when refilling a transmission.
