Well some of you saw my thread that the R/T died last week so I had to go and find something new. Wasn't looking for anything specifically due to the situation and my shitty credit so what ended up working for my budget was a 2008 Ford Edge color is copper. So needless to say other than selling parts I have in the garage and moderating the for sale forum I won't be on much!

It's been fun having a Dakota since 98!!!
1st one
98 Dakota club cab with the V6 a had 247,000 when it was stolen

2nd one
99 Dakota R/T club cab bought with 103k died at 215,000

New ride!

Ahh....
Traitor.
I hear ya. Once sold there's no sense slumming with us.
Enjoy the new car.
Maybe you'll come back to Dakota land.
I did.
Not a big step though. I've always been Dodge.
Have fun.
I didn't really have that many options to buy from with my budget and crappy credit lol I like it so far, it's nice having tons of room though! Lol
Thanks man

You'll be back. I bought my first Dak (02 QC 4.7) back in 2006. Sold it in 2011. Bought a volvo S60R..sold it cuz I missed my Dak, and bought my current truck in 2012
We'll see I don't like the new style and don't want an old truck anymore lol
I've had a Dakota for 16 yrs so it's time for something different lol

here is hoping you did not fall into the high risk 25% interest car loan scams dealerships screw people with
Oh I'm high risk and was expecting 24%+ but I was able to get it at 20%, my buddy is a manager at a dealer so he took care of me, he dropped over 2 grand off the price to get the deal done, it was already 4 grand cheaper than their original sticker price

Holy crap. 20%.
That's what credit cards charge.
But ya gotta start somewhere.
Talk to your bank in six months and get a loan to pay off the car and use the car as loan security. Should get you down to the six percent or something way better.
Plus paying off the car loan so quick will help your credit.

Ford Edge eh? Not a bad decision really. When it comes time to replace the dakota I already have a car in mind right now just in case but I don't really plan on getting anything for another 2-3 years. Trying to hold up on another car payment until my wife pays off her '09 Chevy HHR LT. Currently looking at the Dodge Avenger. Really like the body styling on those. I'd even look seriously at Honda Civics or anything else built in the USA.

Stick around man, you can still be of help to other members because you have 16 years of experience with these trucks. Just cause you no longer own one don't mean you're not allowed here lol.
