new brakes came in today! Yeah for me! Can’t wait to put em on! Anyone got any ideas on what is the proper method to break them in? Pun intended! LOL. I’ve heard of a few ways to not warp the new ones but I’d thought I’d ask anyways. Thanks guys

Typically the manufacturer specifies a series of stops/near stops from various speeds. Usually a sheet in the packaging.

And as far as not warping -- once you come to a stop on hot brakes, ease up on the pedal and let the truck roll forward a foot or so. Lets the hot spots cool down. And of course use a torque wrench on the lug nuts.

Thanks guys for the info. I’ll make sure to do it as per manufacturer specs. I’m still in camp working for another week so I’ll post picks of the new lights and other upgrades imma do and I may even get a video walk around of her. The dual flow master exhaust was back ordered till the new year so I will have to wait till it arrives to post a video of her new growl. The grille will be fun to do and I’m excited to complete that when I’m home. Stay classy

okay here we go.....photos do the work as I’m not gonna make a video for each step as I’m lazy! Got everything from Home Depot and eBay if u wondering......used a heavy gauge cord for the cut out on the grille so I could get my fingers in to open latch. Well more for the wife! LOL. Got the winch installed and the remote is tucked into the bumper. I cheated and bought a cheap winch as I only am using the bull bar for winters. The puddle/UFO lights I wired directly into fuse spot 1 as it’s for the interior lights and grounded it to the frame beside it. If u need more ask and I’ll tell u my super secret install tricks! LOL. I stole all the install tricks from YouTube!!!! Hahaha! Dual flowmaster exhaust should be done next week and I’ll do a full video walk around of the truck once I get the calipers painted and dodge decals put them on. I also have all the blue led lights installed on the inside as well but have to finish the strip lights under the dash. I’d like to hear somehonest comments and some constructive criticism if you guys have any. Thanks and keep on trucking!!! Oh I’ve had a few beersies so go easy on the grammar! LOL. Merry Xmas

Hahahaha! I turned the flash off on my iPhone so it looks insanely bright. Wait till u c my 54” light bar at night! U can c me from miles away! Also the reverse cubes on the back are for ppl behind me who have their high beams on! Today she goes in for a wash and wife gonna clean the inside so I’ll finally be posting a YouTube video on all my mods. I wish the dual exhaust came in this week so I could include that as well. I have remotes for all the lights so u can dim the lights change the Color and even strobe so it looks like a cop is pulling you over! Next time I run outta beer I’ll pull someone over and take theirs! LOL. Stay classy dak lovers and merry Xmas

To do the interior leds go to YouTube and look up interior Dakota light install and a few guys have step by step. It’s so easy. Just make sure u wear gloves and use a plastic pry tool. To do your glovebox just push the clip in the top of the light mech down and it will pop out easy. If you truck is older I suggest doing it when it’s warm outside or after the heater has run for a bit. The leds can be bought on wish Amazon eBay for pennies. I bought the cheap ones as I replace em yearly when they start to act up. I cheap out on all that stuff except for engine components etc. As long as you have a decent battery and alternator and wire them properly you will b fine. Hope that helps
