Hey, i have a friend with a 97 dak 3.9 and he can get ahold of a cai for a IIII gen mustang, do you fellas think that we could make it work?

I don't know what year of mustang you are talking about. you might be able to make it work , it all depends on the bends and the size of the tubing.

The Mustang CAI tubes are usually shorter because of the way their MAF and engine bay are configured. You could probably make it work but the filter may not extend down as far as a normal Dakota intake system.
