does anyone have any info on the mp camshafts, am going to replace my cam next month, woundering what mp cam to use. my truck has mp headers, true duals, mp controller, [email protected] kit, accel ign, also have mp roller rockers to install with the cam. ps i rather stick with one of the mopar cams instead of a aftermarket regrind.

This is the one I just bought off another guy for my 318. MP makes 2 cams, the other one they sell Has the following specs:

P5007551
272/278 duration
.467/.482 lift

Cam selection is also going to depend on your rocker ratio as well. The one I got does a pretty good job in a 318 with 1.7 rockers. I think for a 360 you might want a little bigger cam. Then again, the MP one is emissions exempt, or at least claims to be. Will go real good with my header install and planned 1.92 heads.

The stock engines come with a hyd roller cam, which is a good cam for the stock heads. A larger cam will not yield much improvement since the stock heads will not handle the extra volume. You would get a bigger bang for your buck by installing a set of good 1:7 rollers.
