In around june or july this year i will be moving out to solon, near cedar rapids and iowa city. i was wondering if anyone knew if there were any off roading places around there or a place to have some fun?

o really? that would be so nice if it were open to trucks! do you think if we got enough people to ask for trucks to be allowed that they would let us? Im only 16 and am a junior in high school now but how old are you?

Im 29. The dnr runs it and they dont have any ohv parks that allow trucks in them, there are always alot of 4 wheelers and dirtbikes out there anyway so it would not be safe for them with trucks out there too. There just arent any good trails out here that I know of, but there are plenty of places out here if you just want to play in the mud. Stay out of the cornfields and off private property, the cedar river has some places that are easy to find and get real muddy.

o, well it sounds like i need to invest my money into a couple of 4 wheelers then! But i cant wait to find some new mud out there for my truck! Once i get all settled in up there later this summer i might need some map of where there are some good spots that you know of out there. My friends from WDM cant wait till i can find some new trails to tear up with all of our trucks.

Being new to the Cedar rapids area first thing i checked out was if there was any 4wd parks. There isnt anymore. The one that is mentioned was open to vehicles before but too many dumb asses would go there and ruined the trails and stuff so the DNR put a stop to that and just allow ATV's and such.
There is some places to goto that i know alot of people goto around cedar river. I just never been to any of them.
