does anyone in the hammond/baton rouge/new orleans/north shore areas have acces to a mopar diagnostic tool? i have to do the bcm reset to get my a/c working again. with the louisiana summer already creeping in i need it soon. let me know thanks.
First of all this thread is over two years old. I'd hope he's got it fixed by now.
Second, that's not what he's talking about. You can't access the CTM/BCM, HVAC, TCM, ABS, or SRS modules from a $25 scanner to do resets and other things like that. You need a DRB-3 or StarScan (depending on the year) - which are several thousand dollars.
And like I said, the $25 scanner won't do anything for that kind of issue. They read codes and that is it. In order to do true diagnostic/specialized procedures on the vehicle - such as test/reset the HVAC controller or bleed the ABS valve - you need a real DRB-3 box.
I use Auto Enginuity. It is a program that loads on a laptop. You plug a OBDII connector into the OBDII port and into a USB port on your laptop. It will do anything that the Dealer scanners will. Best tool investment I have made.
