Here's my problem:

I switched a 5.9 (engine, trans, ecu, exhaust, etc...) from a 99 R/T into a truck that was a 2000 SLT 3.9L. Everything is in and runs fine but I am missing a plug on the truck for the after-the-cat O2 sensor. The 99' 5.9 has 4 O2 sensors .... one below each manifold, one on the inlet side of the catalytic convertor, and one behind (downstream) the cat. The 5.9's engine wiring harness has the first three O2 sensor connectors but the last sensor plugs into the chassis harness on the 99 and isn't a part of the 2000 chassis harness (at least not on this V6 truck)

I'm thinking if I can find a wiring diagram for the connectors at the ECU I can run wires directly from the ECU to the last O2 sensor.

And yes, I'm in NC and they do emissions tests here so I have to have it in order to get it inspected.

The 2000 SLT didn't have the exhaust when I bought it so I don't know how many O2 sensors it had so maybe someone with a 2000 3.9 and or 5.9 can tell me how many O2 sensors they have and that may help some.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My '00 has 2 O2 sensors and only one cat. One sensor in front and one in back of the cat.

Finally figured it out ..... traced wires, matched colors, spliced into harness, ran new wires to the downstream o2 sensor, problem solved. Let it idle for about 10 minutes no codes ..... drove it aprox. 6 miles .... no codes.

Thanks to Dwight for trying to help me sort it out ..... he spent 20 minutes or more on the phone with me with his TSB from his truck trying to decipher the pinouts.

No thanks needed Shannon. Glad I could at least be of a little help and glad to hear you're up and running. :mullet:

Now if I could just get my interior lights to work properly I'll be set!

Are you using that CTM? Maybe I could try it and at least rule that out as the possible problem. Wouldn't take but a few minutes to swap em' out and see if that cures anything.

I have it in my truck at the moment, but I can reinstall my OEM with no problems at all. I'll give you a call.

I have the 99 pcm connector pinouts if that will help you solve your other issue, but you should consider picking up a service manual for both years, the diagrams are pretty clear once you get used to them, and you should be able to figure it out.

I bought the FSM on ebay for the 2000 but couldn't find one for the 99 ..... I tried looking everywhere for the pinout diagram for the 99 to no avail.
