okay so 98 durango, you know like the switches on each door for the window and door lock function, well each switch has a little green light on it so you can see it, is there anyway to change that light? if so how and what bulb would i need?

Sorry to tell you but you gotta switch out the whole unit.

Maybe you can go to your local pick n pull and get a spare switch. Test out your theory and report back here with a write-up. I'm sure there are guys out there who may want to do that mod as well.

1. Find spare unit
2. Take it apart
3. Figure out how bulbs are mounted
4. Figure out voltage of bulbs
5. Find replacment LED's in the color you want in the voltage range from 4
6. Make friends with the soldering iron.
7. reassemble

You'll probably break it in the process, hence trying it on a spare first

yea i was thinking this whole process, but i wanted to see if anyone has attempted to try this also, but it seems that im the only one who cant stand the green light

rollers, I think the switches were molded with the green peice in place, but I may be wrong. Personally, the green light hasn't botherede me at all. Hardly noticed it. JMHO.

Yeah, so why not start a new trend and get a spare and some red leds from radio shack or something and do a write up? :D
