I found a repair manual for a Dakota, but it only goes up to 2000 models. Are there enough differences that it would not work for my 2001?

Is there one available on CD for a 2001 model?

The interior is the big difference and there are a couple of sensors different in the tranny

So when it comes to major assemblies, such as front 4x4 bearings, the 2000 book should be the same?

It would be pretty much the same. You can go on ebay and find a factory service manual on CD for the 2001 Dak. I see them all the time.

Haynes makes an excellent repair manual for 01 Durangos/Dakotas. I found one in my local auto zone for about $15. Well worth the money.

Don't waste your time, just get one for a 2001.
