Hey i was just wondering if somebody could give me a ball park price figure for an LSD with 3.92's or 4.10's on a 4x4 04 Dak. thanks

For gears/labor up my way in Maryland I got quoted $899 for the front and $699 for the rear :jawdrop:

I paid $1500 for 4.56 gears and installation here in Louisville, KY.

I just went from an open 3.55 equiped rear to 4.10's with LSD and a new diff cover...total parts were approximately $700, that's with the master install kits and all oil and friction additive and it ran me $500 for labor....for a total $1200...and I must say, I'm very impressed with the difference in performance...

A Tru-trac LSD can be purchased for approx $220 (Auburn for $300). Ring and Pinion for $175 and a master install kit for $75. That's a total of $470 in parts for the rear axle. You only need the gears and a basic install kit for the front axle which will run you about $200. Figure 5-6 hours labor for both axles unless you do it yourself.
