Is it possible to lower the rear only. I was thinking about 2" drop in the rear only. and would I have to get new shocks (I just put some bilstiens on regular ride height, and hellwig sway bar). would i have to replace some rear suspension part. also would this effect the motor transmission hook up. would blocks be best for this or springs. I think if I go the springs route I will have to get new rear shocks is that right?

Yes you can lower the rear only. Your options for a 2" drop are rear leafs and blocks for the most part. There are some drop shackels that work as well. From talking with the guys with Hotchkis if you stay at 2" you shouldnt have to swap shocks. They said past 2" you should swap them. All of your connections for motor/transmission will be fine.
Basically the route you chose will be determined mainly on your pocket book.
