After spending the last year in and out of work, I have finally found something I can really get into: I went for an interview at ATK's Lake City Ammunition plant as an electronics technician and after talking to my Adecco person an hour after the interview, I got the call that they wanted me and I will be starting the 21st.
The bad news: I won't be able to make the commute from my parent's home to my new job, as the distance is too far for my comfort and the shifts are 12 hours, so I am not going to put up with that. I am currently looking at apartments in the area that are cheap but I won't be taking some of my most valuable positions(silver plate and sterling silver pieces and sets) and I will be leaving most of my tools with my parents. I will miss working out at my alma mater, which only cost me $200 for a year membership compared to other places but I figure with what I will be making, it won't hurt as much.

Maybe, but I don't foresee getting a gun for a while, not least my favorite, the Desert Eagle .50 Cal.

Got moved into my apartment today. It's still a mess with the furniture, clothes, and such still strewn about but I will have that all taken care of by Sunday evening at the latest. I don't have much to do, because Comcast had no technicians available today and I can't get the hardware from any of their stores around me.
As for how I got it all down, had to get a 6x12' Uhaul trailer to be pulled by the Dakota and then getting everything else in the Suburban and the bed and cab of my truck. Was a little hairy driving down due to the rain and traffic but nothing moved or broke during the trip so that's a plus. Now, I am pooped out and ready to go to bed.

LOL! I think he'd have to pay hazard premiums for a policy working there.. Especially since the actuarial tables all got re-crunched after the West TX fertilizer plant blast..

Finally got everything squared away and I am now living the apartment life.
I am not completely done moving, as I have some parts, tools, and wheels to bring down but I won't be able to make that trip until next weekend or depending on what my work schedule is going to be.
