Anyone here ever seen a Lil' Red Express Dakota? Read in a magazine that there were 90 produced in '91 or '92. Had some pics, they have the step side bed with the chrome exhaust stacks up each side. Kind of cool. There was also a mention of a Dakota Warrior? :)

the site says there was only 32 made. looks like they took a 80s ram stepside and narrowed the bed to fit.

It wasn't a stepside Ram bed, they had more rounded fenders.

I saw one at the dealer here when they came out, the stacks were fake and they still had the exhaust exiting in the stock location behind the rear axle.

Hey, quit pickin on my truck, I feel like I'm at work:funny: I have a full page add from back in the day that I'll have to scan and put on here. It has pics of an LRD and a Warrior right rear 3/4 view showing the tailpipe  don't know what they were thinking when they picked the veiw. may have been 1990 models and the add was in 1992, but they looked cool at the time. the add has a break down of all the bed parts in it. bed sides are all fiberglass (shaped like chevy fenders) along with outer skin on tailgate. steel parts are all "galvaneel" (thin A$$ galvinized sheet metal). they also had just the bed available to put on any 87-92 Dakota at the time, have seen some built with LRT door decals and some with stock wheels. haven't researched much lately, but have pics of my truck with a stock bed when it became my DD in the winter, maybe i'll scan them too.

Is that factory? The rear wheel looks too forward in the wheel opening.

none of them were actually "factory". the original ones were built from a cab and chassis and not from a pickup with a bed swap. my rear wheel sits closer to the front of the wheel well but not as far as the 87 that is pictured.

I beleive that number was for the 92 models. I have read that L.E.R. Industries had a contract with dodge for X number of unit in 90-91. had to finish the orders in 92, I think these are the only ones that had numbered badges. I don't know how many were produced total, need a dedicated site to track them all down and find out.:woot:

I have a 1991 Little Red Express truck. Got it from the family of the original owner. They did not have the plaque that went on the dash. I am trying to find out what number it is if any one can help me with a answer Thanks Pat doesn't look like anyone has been on this site in a long time.
