We just purchased a 2019 AWD Durango and have been told by our local shop that you can’t lift this vehicle. Is this true? Any recommendations on kits to buy if it’s possible. Looking to do a 2.5 inch lift. Thanks for your thoughts.

Most likely NOT! It's probably a Torsion Bar suspension and if it is. NOPE! most AWD vehicles aren't for off-roading therefore not fit for Lifting. It's not a 4x4.

Your local shop is wrong, lift kits are now available for the '19 Durango. Lifting an AWD should not be an issue. The AWD system is intended more for inclement weather and is not intended for off roading. Another words it should still be able to handle wet, snow, or icy roads, as before. It should also be able to handle some light mud, or sand. Easy trails should also be no problem, however heavy wheeling like in deep snow, mud, sand and any rock crawling would not be advisable.
