hello. im currently in oki ad saving money and got plans for my truck when i get home. been looking at front shocks and they are pretty cheap and think they would look pretty badass what is the advantage over these from stock? and maybe looking at lifting it a little bit too nothing over 3' though but how would you go about installing these? ive seen people changing shocks in cars and compressing the springs and stuff it looked like a pain...

3'??? Damn son thats tall! :jester:

Assuming you meant 3", mine sits at 2.5" over stock suspension with 2.5" blocks in the rear, torsion bars cranked in the front, whole lift cost me $40. It rides a little harsher but you get used to it. Assuming yours is setup like mine, there are no springs in the front its torsion bars. You just crank the bolts on the cross member 7 full turns. I did that and got 33x12.5x15 tires under the truck.

Nice man I got some buddies down in kato I party with all the time. Yeah I didnt understand it at first either but its pretty simple. There are 2 bolts that sit crooked in the cross member. There are 2 bars that run from your front lower control arms all the way back to the cross member, they connect to the torsion keys. Those bolts can adjust the ride height of the truck.

Just jack up the truck, put a 15/16 impact socket and crank them a good 7 turns evenly. I used an impact on mine til they got hard to turn, backed off a little and then used a breaker bar. I am 230lbs and was throwing my whole weight into the 3ft breaker bar so they are pretty stout bolts so I wouldnt worry to much about them snapping, they screamed the whole way up. Your stock shocks should work too after the lift. If you need any further help just let me know or if you need any more pics.

Looks good man, I've got my torsion bars cranked with 285's now, gonna order a 3" body lift in the next month or so, and try to get my brush guard on.

Anybody know if you can fit 35's on with the ts lift and 3" bl?

Probably. I could probably fit 35s on mine now with a little trimming. Only issue I could see would be fender flare rub and frame rub.
