Im looking to replace my stock leaf springs on my 2wd 2000 Dodge Dakota club cab. Looking at parts online I find the 4wd leaf springs are cheaper than the 2wd. I know they mount differently either under axle for 2wd or above axle for 4wd. Is that the only difference? Can you use the 4wd leaf spring mounted under the axle on a 2wd truck?

Potentially you could swap the leaf springs from a Durango as those are spring under, and 2.5" wide as well. However I am unsure if you could use a 4WD spring from a Dakota as the spring perches would have to be flipped to mount correctly to your 2WD.
