Pictures of the new KYB Monomax shocks installed on the 4x4 QC Dakota. I would highly recommend these shocks to anyone who wants a firmer, stiffer ride but not a harsh, jaring ride. Handling is great and response is phenominal.
Picture is of one front shock and one rear shock

how was the install? PITA?
Actually, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The front ones went on smoothy. I ziptied the top of the boots down, installed them, put the front end back on the ground and ziptied the bottom of the boots. The rears came fully extended, so instead of doing the install with the back still on the ground, I jacked it up to full factory extension, and ziptied the top of the boots. After that they just bolted right up and I ziptied the bottom of boot lowered the rearend and was finished. I didn't put the sticker on that came with the shocks, though.

Below I attached the picture of the back end jacked all the way up to full extension and the tires are barely off the ground. Also, I attached a picture of the truck after the install. I gained a whole inch roughly all the way around.

dont matter, u can take your shocks out completley and it will have same ride height. onlything i can thing of is that u measured right after u had the vehicle jacked up and lowered it down and the springs hadnt settled back yet.
