Here's the scenerio. About a year and a half ago I was working for a local town doing DPW highway work. It was a fun job and things were going great, but I got laid off siz months later due to budget cuts. I got a new job and it's still my current job. I'm a mechanic/ all around manager at a UHaul store here. Again I like the job, but I have made some really good friends with the guys that I work with. We hangout all the time on weekends and are basically best friends. I got a letter from my old DPW foreman today saying that there is a new fulltime position that he wants me to apply for. The pay is about 2.5 times more than I'm making now. The thing is I'm planning on moving out to the midwest in about a year or less. Do I stick with UHaul where I love going to work and stay with a national company where I'm guranteed to have a job wherever I move or do I jump ship for more money and then have to scramble to find a job when I move? I need some insight.

I hope he's made his decision by now. That offer was 12 years ago.
