That truck is terrible!! If you're going to badge it an R/T, give it the HEMI or a s/c 4.7. Don't just give it a 4.7 h.o. The R/t Dakota's are badass and this doesn't live up to it IMO.We'll see if the sales prove me wrong. Maybe Dodge will make an SRT from this line??? I hope cause this isn't doin it for me! :tdown: :tdown:

This thing has the same draw that a 73' Roadrunner has to a 68' Roadrunner - no comparison! nahhhhh! They sell these R/T's on eBay, but there they have a non-functional hood scoop at least. I thin it's just a way for dealers to get a few more bucks from you.

alot of genIII 4.7 daks are in the 15s, i bet a cc gen IV 4x2 r/t could run a 15.8-15.9. i know there heavier, but i dont think there that terrible like yall make it sound. a lil drop and some 20s, it would look bad ass :biggthump

I mean jus a guess but i would say my 4x4 genIII is down in the low 15's and i went in to see about purchasing a brand new R/t obviously special order because in WI all they hed were 4x4 ones (Fu**in stupid), well anyway i was going to get a CC 4.7 HO with a 6 speed and two wheel drive and i was going to have DC install 4.10 cuz i think it would have only came with the 3.55 (that's with the options i wanted u can get the 3.92 but not with the options i wanted) and he said without gears it would wax my truck. So i don't know what's up with these fake hood scooped trucks but maybe the dealer was jus full of BS but he wouldn't let me take one of the 6 speed ones out unless i wrote up a contract with him and i'm like screw it i like my dak more then the new ones anyway. (no offence to anyone jus my opinion)

Well think on the bright side, if this PoS is the 2006 Dodge dakota R/t package, then maybe they will make a 2006 dakota SRT model, and downgrade the rt to a package deal and make the srt the real peice of meat of the new gen, just a thought

i have a gen III dakota 2003 4.7 2wd that looks like an R/T but im pretty much trying to make it the only 4.7 R/T as i would call it around here. alot of people keep asking me if it is an r/t and i just say its a modded sport that looks like one i get alot of thumbs up i guess. but im trying to make the first REAL 4.7 R/T i guess. does anyone know how the decals on the side of the truck would look if it said DAKOTA 4.7 R/T. let me know what u would think.

IMO the 4x4 and rt should never be together unless u special order it.i have a CC 4x4 05 dak and it is okay for the time being but i miss my 03 4dr red dak. my thoughts on this truck is that someone had too much time and put that sticker on there and maybe beefed it up. now all wheel drive with a hemi thats an RT model for ur ass in CC or QC!!!!!! IMO

Draws more attention like a ugly fat person. You can't stand to look at it, but you can't seem to look away either. No offense, but I never liked that body style. What's with the Dakota decal on the door?? Doesn't match anything else on the truck. A black tonneau cover and a red wing??
