I have heard that noise in almost every Mopar I've ever seen. Seems to be a normal noise to me.

When I shift from park to any other gear my transmission will make a weird noise. It kind of sounds like a ratchet strap tightening in a way. If I take my foot off the brake after I put it in drive and I am sitting on a hill it will roll backwards until the noise stops. it just does it for a couple of seconds. I seem to remember that every Chrysler vehicle we have owned except our old durango made that noise as far as I know of course they all had an assload of miles
