I have a 5.9 R/T Dak, Im planning on a 3" true dual exhaust with cutouts behind the 2 front wheels and not replacing the headers yet... with 3" piping am i going to lose a very noticable amount of torque... i will have a k&n FIPK kit on next week too and thats all for engine mods that i will have done

After you get so far down stream there is little or no scavenging effects. If you are going with duals, I would suggest going with full length headers ending with 3" collectors. What you will notice that dual 3" has more of a hollow gravely exhaust tone. The tone isn't too bad on a big block, but I don't personally like it on small blocks.

3" is good for a single exhaust. If you're going TRUE duals, stay with 2.5"
