Oh I got it all already, thanks though. I got an 05 ram harness but it didn't have the intake harness so I had to just change the hemi's coolant temp sensor and oil pressure switch to new ones from oreilly's made for my 05 4.7. The hemi oil pressure switch is a 3, possibly 4 position (if it has a ground) switch, whereas the 4.7 is a 2 position (one lead, and grounded) so it had to be changed anyways. My 4.7 pcm will see this motor as a very thirsty 4.7.

In the end, I just have to change the coolant sensor and oil pressure switch modules, change cam, crank, and alternator sensor connectors, move the oil pressure switch connector, move the cam position sensor connector, and delete the EGR valve.

The oil temp sensor on the hemi won't be used, as I can't seem to find one on the 4.7.. and neither will the knock sensors... though the knock sensors I might be able to hook up and have starscanned in... maybe... but I'm not worried about that yet.

So I did some measurements last night, and I have some insanely good news for anyone who wants to do this swap on a 2005-2007....

RAM OIL PAN NEEDS NOOOO MODS!~ ....for 2wd

My Durango oil pan won't clear... by 3/16" of an inch!!! That means a well placed hit with a hammer will let it clear :)

Ok, the breakdown. I wouldn't have to change ANYTHING if I had a Ram oil-pan and pickup tube. Here's why.

I don't have a differential, so the middle is completely clear until 13" forward of the transmission structure which is the steering rack. Below that structure plate, is almost 9 inches of clearance so even the deep part of the Ram pan will clear. Since I have a Durango pan, the middleish area has the oil pickup and so the area toward the front is 3 and 2/3rds deep. The Ram pan is closer to 2 1/2 inches. The crossmember itself has tons of clearance, it's just that steering rack that gets in the way.

Here's pics of a ram oil pan and my durango pan.
My recommendation to 4wd swappers, get the ram pan for sure.

So I figured I would update this side of the internet too with what I have been doing so far.

After I installed the cam, I found out that I should get the timing chain tensioner from a 6.1. Thanks to Bruce and wo23dodge for that tip. It's on order and will be here... who knows when. modernwarfareperformance.com aren't the most talkative bunch.

I also did some looking around and found that I either need to modify my frame brackets or get the motor mount and block brackets from a 4wd 05+ 4.7, cut up the block brackets and weld them to the hemi block plates. So I got the 4wd isolators and brackets on order since I want to keep a very stock look under there.

I ordered exhaust stuff; 2.5" magnaflow highflow cats, 3" I/O Spintech muffler, tailpipe, 2.5dual to 3single y-pipe, gibson log headers.

I also got the Innovate wideband kit, SCT tuner with a base tune from Sean at Hemifever, 180tstat, and I installed the HHR fan and controller.

I installed everything for the exhaust from the tailpipe to the stock y-pipe so it's ready when the swap is done. Spintech sounds mean as hell by the way, especially inside the cab.

I cleaned up and painted the accessories that I bought from a guy on DT, I decided to paint them black and it doesn't look too bad.

I did end up ordering a Ram oil pan and pickup tube and i won't have to modify anything on the oil pan for clearance, it's a perfect fit in my 2wd gen 4. There's a pic down there of the two pans next to eachother, you can see there's a big difference between the Durango pan and Ram pan. It's now installed.

I wasn't planning on getting a rollpan just yet, because I wanted to focus on the swap, but Sir Michaels recently went out of business and the person I had been emailing, Sandie, told me they only had one single rollpan left in stock at truckshop.com. So it was either buy it now or get a urethane one from the only other company that makes one.

Here's some pics of everything and some exhaust videos

With Spintech and 3" Piping all the way out after stock Y

Those headers are tits! What did you attatch the ceiling hoist to and how much do you think it's rated at? I am looking at a house monday with the gf and it's a 1 car garage so we'd tear it down and put in a 32' x 28' and I want to put a ceiling hoist in but could see it just go terribly wrong and tear down the rafters lol.

It's just attached to two of the rafters, they are pretty old too. There wasn't hardly any flexing or anything, and it's a 28ft length with 5ft peak. Made of 2x4s.

The comealong is 2 tons, the tow strap.. well it's a 5k and the hook attaches to 3 of it's loops so 15k :p

When you build that garage, just do it to code, but toss a 4x6 that is long enough to cover 5 of the rafters, you don't even need to bolt it down to anything really, but I would just to make things easy. That's how I would do it, and then you can attach anything you want to it. You could get creative and put 4 or 5 or there and an I beam to make a track system so you could always roll whatever you're working on out of the way to park.

Mine just covers two, and I would be willing to test it on the back end of the truck if I hadn't just removed the hitch to install this rollpan. :)

I'm going to get some better vids soon, and some pics. It's dirty, I haven't washed it since I started the swap 1½ months ago. Might be going to a midnight drag race session a couple times next month just to see how she handles the track.

Nice man, got any pics of the motor mounts? Did you buy some or make them? I am assuming you have the 545FE tranny? What did you use for wiring?

For the passenger side, I had to get the 4x4 mount because its a two piece with 2 usable holes and a spot to drill out a 3rd hole. The 2wd mount was 1 piece cast iron and couldn't be modified, and only used 3 bolts anyways, so only 2 were usable.. After drilling the hole, it bolted right up to frame and motor, with 3 of 4 bolts being used, I'm comfortable with it.

The drivers side, also needed the 4x4 isolator, and a custom bracket on the block.. I lowered the motor in and made a mount out of abs plastic and superglue. Then I took that to a welder and he made it for me, for 25 bucks. Needed some fine trimming on install, but worked out great.

For wiring, I used my harness and a harness from an 05 hemi 2500. Some connectors had to be changed, and relocated in the harness. I pulled the harness out and worked on them in the stand, trimming the old loom off, making the changes, and putting new loom back on. One connector at a time. The 4.7 pcm runs the show with a hemifever tune
