I have a 2000 Dakota sport with the 4.7 with no tow package. I am looking to add the breaks needed to pull a trailer. Will be pulling 3-5k so need good breaks. Question is I have not been able to locate the connector for the brake controller under the dash. And I was wondering if anyone knows if all Dakotas have the connector for the break controller somewhere under there whether it has a tow package or not, or do only the tow package ones have it? I know I need to run wires, but I'm trying to figure out how to get the wires into the dash and to connect to the brake controller.
