I just wanted to complement you on this thread I followed the directions and did it myself. I will say it is kind of a pain to snap the dash back in and I actually had paint peal a little in the corner. I plan to fix that with maybe a little more clearance other then that I think it looks pretty darn good. I had around 100 bucks in parts let me know what you think.

My unit, no I didn't pay 500 lol I got a reaaaallly good deal on it new.

Bondo

Bondo here is pretty well finished

Primed

Painted, just trying it before installing

Finished with small mess up in the corner  :blahblah:

Sand, prime, paint. I'm super glad I did this instead of doing like a flip out I think its super clean. Also its hard to believe that guy will do those for 125 I mean even if you get a good deal on parts your still talking at least 80 dollars and your not even talking labor or shipping lol!

Awesome! Yes the "refinished " dash is quite delicate on the reinstall, not sure if I admitted this but I damaged mine on the first attempt. I had to repair and adjust the head unit. Yours looks great - glad you were able to use my project as a guide.
