I am doing a prerunner build since I live in the desert and bolted up some 32's on stock starfish wheels. I plan on going to a 15x8 or 15x10 soon as well as plan to build some custom Ram based leaf packs out back. This is all mentioned for one reason... Travel. The tires will be going up in the fenders on full bump. Instead of doing fiberglass I'm doing stock modified.

You'll need...

-Grinder with cutting wheel
-Welder
-Scrap steel
-Hand tools
-2x4

I went 2" to allow for room later on, go as far as you want.

Remove rear tires/wheels (6x3/4" Lug nuts per wheel)

Remove bed supports (4x10mm bolts)

Cut 1" to the left (towards outside) of the double panel shown

Pull bedside out by jack, brute force, or whatever you find easiest.

Weld tabs of steel in gap to hold fender in place.

Paint to prevent rust.

Attach fender support 2" (or however far you pulled) by drilling 2 new holes on bed side of gap and moving the fasteners to the new holes.

Do opposite side the same

Some of the pics were post muddy weekend, but on the positive side... Not that much mud got on my exterior paint!

Sweet!

Just FYI due to the board limits you can only do 5 inline attachments per post so split it into as many replies as you need.. Still trying to get that changed.
