my tuck is a 97. I did this and got a 12 for a code, I dont see it on the list, but i do see a 0112 that is a low IAC voltage. Is there any difference in the way a 97 will display codes.

i have an 03 QC with a digital odometer... if u hold the odometer button and turn the key to the run possition, then release the odometer button the truck will run a scan and come up with codes also...

That is awesome!! Wish all the manufacturers would do that!!

The late 80's models would flash the code if you turned the key on/off 3 times. Used that little trick a lot on my 87 Sundance.

Thanks, it worked for me. It took me a few tries. Letting the key pause in on for a beat helped. It threw code P0113 the intake air charge sensor. two minutes and $8 later the truck was running again.

P0442 (M) Evap Leak Monitor Meduim Leak Detected A small leak has been detected in the evaportive sysem.

P0455 (M) Evap Leak Monitor Large Leak Detected A large leak has been detected in the evaporative sysem.

Does anyone know what and how to fix them?

For the Evap leaks check your gas cap, as well as the rubber hoses that are under the drivers side of the truck. (Pretty much below the drivers seat) They are pretty cheap to replace too.

ready status

I reset the computer like you stated but when I went to get the car inspected the machanic stated that the computer gave back a not ready status. How long do I need to drive the car in order to get the ready status without the check engine light coming on again.

It can actually take a couple days. When I had my 99 emission control checked the same thing happened to me. They rented me a little computer to plug into the truck that started beeping when the computer had reset itself.
