I need to know how much a 2000 q.c. with a 4.7L weighs. I also need to know what size rear end gears it came with. Just give me all of them.

i think they weigh like 4400-4500lbs. not sure though. check the sticker on your door to tell you what gears you have.

I think the rear gears came either 3.55 or 3.92 depending on motor... but I dunno:huh:

mine has a 4.7 and a 9.25 rear end wiht 3.55 gears ine has the factory tow package though, you can also get a 8.25 rear end

The weight like said before is aroung the mid 4's.


Count the number of bolts on the rear axle cover, 10 bolts= 8.25 (round cover) and 12 bolts=9.25 (octogon cover, I think maybe hexagon:huh. But if you look in the glove box there should be a sticker in there that tells you the rear end size and what gears you have. It will also tell you hive you have a factory LSD or not. It will say something along the lines of anti-spin or something liek that if it is a LSD.

Just by looking at the glove box? You also have a 4x4. It is gonna be different than my 2x4.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the tow package included the LSD and 3.92 gears for easier/better towing.

not always the case... my 01 QC has 4.7l, 4x4, factory tow, and a 3.55 rear w/o LSD

Edit: It may depend on the trim class as well. Mine is a sport, my dad has a 99 dak SLT with the 3.92s LSD

Well mines a sport and it had a 3.55 open, now it has a 3.92 LSD.:woot: So I guess IDK.

Damn 4x4s gotta replace the front and the rear otherwise i'd tear some shit up when I play in the mud...

you can also stop by your local dealer and give them the last 8 of your VIN, they can give you a full printout of your vehicle, all options, stock items, colors, etc.

Got lucky with mine I still have the orignal Factory Sticker from the original purchaser... Even says at the top "Built for (name)..."

I have an SLT also. It doesn't show SLT on it anywhere. It doesn't show anything on it but Magnum on the front of the front fenders. I know it has to be because it is fully loaded. It has everything but a woman to suck me off while I drive down the road.

Well that's what I do best but... 3.55's can suck my balls for towing.
Little Rock to Oklahoma in 3rd most of the way... I almost doubted the trucks ability to pull it... but anyway... 4.7l 3.55s pulling uhaul Auto transporter loaded with a pontiac Vibe... fun stuff and kinda slow... I need new gears
