I like the lowered look, but a $1000 is a bit pricy, how much better does the truck ride.

Need some testimonials.

Hotchkis is well worth the $$ I don't have it on my truck yet. If your gonna get the TVS let me know and I'll hook you up with a good deal. The price was $830 shipped but with steel prices going up it may be another $10-20

Hey, I'm looking to buy the tvs suspension. Should be in or around x-mas time. How much will the tvs drop my truck? Can you still get it for the price you quoted? Does it come with the blistein shocks or not? Any more info would be nice. Thanks

How much of a difference in the drop between an R/T and a regulat durango or Dakota? Does this TVS system give you the R/T look or is it lower?

The r/t durangos are 4x4 arent they...

Your right kaui56, the RT Durango is 4+4, and Hotchkis dosen't make a kit for it. They only make it for the 2 wheel drive.

Mine is GREAT, dropped it 2" in the front, and 3" in the back. Handles like a dream.

I have the Hotchkis TVS in my 03 R/T, but didn't in my 01 R/T - I wish I had bought this thing 3 years ago, the difference in handling is amazing. When I was in CA for Spring Fling we had a convoy of trucks screaming across various highways on the way to the event. I was in the middle of the convoy, and was the only truck without Hotchkis. Every time we hit a sweeping turn to change roads, I would have to slow down to take the turn then romp on it to catch up to the lead vehicles.

Where can I get this kit and how much is it? How hard is it to install? A buddy of mine said he can do it and we have most of the equipment (he has it), he said "You get the money and I have the time" so let me know where to get it from. Thanks.

If I install airbags, would I need the hotchkiss system?

thanks,
Hugh

To install the entire kit front and back with shocks and sways took about 8 hours. We were able to do everything with large floor jacks and jackstands, plus hand tools.

We had some delays because one of my sway bar linkages broke (bought a new one locally) and the front bumpstops were an insane pain in the ass to remove because we waited until after everything was installed to take them out (do this before you put everything back together and have a drill or something sturdy to drill out the posts).

so, which is better (hotchkiss or airbags)? For handling, stablility etc.? I was looking at 11" bags, so if they were completely deflated, would be about 4" lower than stock, and fully inflated would give me a nice lift (I'm a big guy, so it's hard for me to get into a low vehicle). I would need new springs, shocks, coil overs etc. for the airbags though right?

if you use the air bags i think you can still use the sways....but if he's dumping to 4 inches i dont think the links from the hothkis can handles that. they told me i couldnt use the sways with a 3/5 drop...
