I finally figured it all out and here is my list of parts and wiring adds and changes. My truck is an 02 QC 2wd. 4wd wheel bearing parts might be different. After you swap the ABS you will need a good scanner that can set the pinion factor number for your tire size in the ABS.
I'm using a 05 Ram ECM, with a modified 03-04 4.7 Dakota under hood wiring harness and 05 Dakota steering wheel mounted to the 02 Dakota steering shaft. The parts need to make this work with the 04-older trucks are the:
5.7 Ram ABS module
Dakota/Durango front Wheel bearing with ABS tone ring or listed as 4 wheel ABS sensor. Also front ABS sensor
05-up Dakota/Ram/Durango steering wheel buttons
Wiring:
From the ABS plug add a wire to Pin2 and run to the ECM C1 plug pin #8, this is for the VSS #2 signal
Add 2 pins to the ABS plug at pins 5 and 10 for the speed sensor wires. There is already a wire on pin 10 of the Dakota ABS, you can remove it.
Add 3 wires from the ECM to go to the CC switches. There is a plug under the steering column that connects to the clock spring. All 3 wires run from the ECM C3 plug
C3 #15 to clock spring Pin5
C3 #34 to clock spring Pin 4
C3# 18 to clock spring Pin 3
Brake Switch #2 signal
At the ECM C3 plug, move Pin #7 to position #14
Add +12v to the blue/red #3 wire at the Dakota old Cruise Control plug. You can tap the 12v feed on the C1 plug pin#29 Red/Wht wire.
Got the wheel bearing and ABS sensor from Rock Auto.
ABS sensor
05 Ram/Dakota steering wheel mounted to the 02 Dakota Shaft. I have a black leather wheel that I might
use instead.
