need a little more info, what year, if it is a dakota/durango, and equipped with cruise or not. I am unfamiliar with that, my truck does not have that connector. Could be for a cruise control motor, if yours does not have a cruise control motor.

I have a 6 wire connector hanging from dash above the accelerator oval all in line
