Heater blower quit again.

Hi everyone, well the blower quit working again. This time I don't think the actual switch is the problem. I think the connector that runs to the fan control switch, is the problem. Is it best to try to get a complete run on the wire, or can I splice in a new connector? I haven't spliced wires together before on a vehicle. Any thing I need to worry about or other tricks.
