So these former students of ours had an extra car we knew about, so my wife called them to see if we could use it while the Durango is in the shop. We went down and got it, drove it for a few days, and realized that the plates are expired. So we called the family and were discussing what they wanted to do, and the mom was like "I'll just send you the title if you want." Um, ok. So it's a '93 Escort, 4 door, hatchback kinda thing. Apparently it needs a fuel pump, and some TLC. I haven't had a chance to look it over good yet. I'm sure it'll need some mechanic-ing to get it to where I want it (safe...lol). Needs a cheap stereo, brakes were a bit non-existent at times, some fumes come into the interior, it wants to die on idle after it is warmed up, etc. Poor thing only has like 212,000 on it.

Anyway, it'll get us around while the Durango is in the shop, and if we decide to keep it, at least it'll get decent mileage.

But from the sound of it, you don't want to see what comes out of end of that thing after doing that.:funny:

But really though, like stated, those are good cars, fix it up a bit and you'll have a good running car to last you for a while. Plus, great gas mileage and free. Can't beat that.:D

Haha, hell yeah. My dad just ran the shit out of one, finally the head gasket blew this past week. Got a million other things wrong with his, but I can probably get parts from it.
