Me and my g/f just bought a durango here a couple months ago and we want to trick it out alittle bit in the 4x4 dept. being that this is out first durango I was wondering what sort of things I could put into it without overloading it.

One thing I would like to do is to install a med. duty winch on our durango, but the question I have is what is the frame strength on the durangos/dakotas? are they capble of handling a winch on the front without twisting the frame under some hard pulling conditions?

Your D has a full frame (mostly boxed) so you will not have to worry about twisting anything. The only problem you might have is locating a front bumper to accomodate a winch. On the rear, a receiver mounted hitch should do the trick.

As far as "tricking out" your D, what are your plans? I have a 00' that I've body lifted, installed 18x9's w/33's and misc. powertrain mod's. Just giving idea's...

I found a MOPAR grille guard on Ebay($700 part for $112) Im looking into a 3" suspension lift, polished nerf bars. I just put on a set of nice a$$ Eagle Alloy 16x8 wheels with BFG All Terrain T/As. There is a wealth of parts out there for your Durango. Ebay is a "good" place to start. This site is a much better place to start. For engine mods Im looking at a heavier cam, maybe R/T heads with roller rockers, an M1 intake with a larger throttle body. I thought about a super charger but the wear and tear on the motor is more than I want. As for the exterior I found a 'Cuda style shaker hood, Vent Visors, bug deflector, clear corner lights, projector head lights, off road lights and so on. Just search around online there are hundreds of sites with lots of good stuff.
