I have an 06 Dakota with a 3.7 liter V6. Lately I've been getting horrible gas mileage. Ever since I hooked up my OBD2 scanner it's been ridiculous is says I'm getting 6 miles to the gallon on the freeway on average. I would think that just maybe my OBD scanner was messed up but it's actually adding up the way I go through gas I've never heard of anybody getting this battle gas mileage unless they had like a blown 460 in it or something like that. For V6 I should be getting 15 in the city and then 19 on the freeway is what my sticker says. I haven't done any upgrades my engines totally stock . Any ideas

cat converter could be is clogged. bad tires. brakes. bad plugs, bad distributor cap. a lot of things can make you get bad mpg.
best thing to do is just check everything out.. plugs, tires and brakes good start,
