bhp: brake horsepower or base horse power (the horsepower the motor has at the crank before drivetrain losses.
RWHP: Rear wheel horse power (the engines power after it has gone through the driveline to the wheels and lost a bit)
Torque: the ability to get the thing moving (grunt)

torque gets you moving initially, then horsepower takes over and lets you accelerate.

torque is at the low end of RPMs 1000-3500 about then horsepower peaks out around 4500 or so on a stock truck.

Any one think i screwed that up?

That's a good way to look at it.

If you've got a head for physics then another way to look at it is to see torque as a rotational force and horsepower as a linear force. Torque is a function of RPM and HP is a function of torque.

Torque spins the wheel, HP moves the car.

4) Any thing from AIM industries- they very poor products quality and even worse customer service (if you are even able to get a hold from them). They are also not knowledgeable about the products they carry.

Funny thing about the TB spacers... they make good nitrous injection plate blanks....lol.

So there is some truth to it.

I bought one for $20 shipped. Drilled and tapped it for my nitrous fittings.

Not for nothing but I was quoted $250 for the plate itself.

Thats dangerous man, unless they are pressure tested you could get into trouble.....a friend of mine made one to the best of his abilities and had it sent to NX and tested, and they said anything over a 100 shot was dangerous....

ohh really.....well since the 5.9 is retired....i don't think that there is too much of a choice....and as i do belive there are some 4.7's that are mighty fast....and the HO is higher in hp, but a bit less in tq....but to each is his own, so the only other thing i have to say is......

Whaaaaaa?????? Its a plate that goes between the TB and intake. Only pressure it needs is from the 4 bolts that hold it onto the intake. It holds the fittings for the nitrous system. Not worried about a backfire. It will blow the pan gasket before the spacer.

sounds right...maybe they just wanted him to buy one of their "specially made" ones...that cost an arm and both legs. :jester:

FYI.... if you try to buy this stuff off ebay... dont bid more than what an item costs new from an online retailer....lol.

Just watched a used AEM spacer go for the same cost as a new one... :jester:

I thought it pretty funny when I bought a oil pump priming shaft from the stealership, that it came packaged with two Mopar Performance stickers. So do the stickers add 50hp or just the fact that I prelubed the engine before starting it add 50hp ? Is each sticker 50 hp, or 25 hp apiece?
