FYI - Items to avoid purchasing

1) The Turbonator - the way air/fuel travels through the Magnum motor would probably cancel out any effect items like this would even remotely achieve.

2) Throttle Body Spacers - the way air/fuel travels through the Magnum motor would probably cancel out any effect items like this would even remotely achieve.

3) Any +hp "chip" from E-Bay/etc. They are just ten-cent resistors which replace the IAT sensor and attempt to fool the PCM into thinking the temperature of the air entering the engine is cooler or hotter than it really is, which supposedly slightly leans/richens the air/fuel mix going into the engine. Most of these people probably have no clue whatsoever what resistance value equals what temperature for the Dodge Dakota/Durango, and the mod itself does very little to begin with.

Some people also say it means, "Real World HorsePower". But either way it means the same thing i.e. the power that makes it to the ground after drivetrain losses.
I thought that's what torque was..?

Man can one/all of you guys take me to school on this? I Aints going to learn unless harsh lessons :p

bhp: brake horsepower or base horse power (the horsepower the motor has at the crank before drivetrain losses.
RWHP: Rear wheel horse power (the engines power after it has gone through the driveline to the wheels and lost a bit)
Torque: the ability to get the thing moving (grunt)

torque gets you moving initially, then horsepower takes over and lets you accelerate.

torque is at the low end of RPMs 1000-3500 about then horsepower peaks out around 4500 or so on a stock truck.

Any one think i screwed that up?
Thank you for that! :)

I thought it pretty funny when I bought a oil pump priming shaft from the stealership, that it came packaged with two Mopar Performance stickers. So do the stickers add 50hp or just the fact that I prelubed the engine before starting it add 50hp ? Is each sticker 50 hp, or 25 hp apiece?
Dood, they're stickers... C'mon now.. it's 50 each :p
