I had a problem with my 02 Dakota needing a jump start almost every time I tried to start it. I had a friend look at it when it wouldn't start even with a jump one day and she said the wire was not connected on the link. She connected it and it started right up. Several months go by and it wouldn't start with a jump so I checked the link again and noticed the fuse was missing completely. I told a friend that it was not going to start unless the fuse and wire were connected because messing with that wire has gotten it to start a few other times. Instead of putting a fuse in, they connected it directly to my battery and the wire fried completely, all the way down the wire. If I just run a new piece of wire to the little fuse thing, will that work or is it possible that caused an even bigger issue? Where does that wire lead to?
